Structure
The Manager
PropTrax is managed by Property Index Tracker Managers (Proprietary) Limited, a manager approved and registered by the Registrar to manage the PropTrax scheme.
The relationship between PropTrax and the manager is governed by the PropTrax Deed. The share capital in the manager is held 100% by Resilient.
The Asset Manager
Sanlam Investment Management, the asset manager of Property Index Tracker, manages the assets of the Property Index Tracker portfolios on behalf of the manager.
The Trustee
Absa Bank Limited is the trustee of the Property Index Tracker scheme. Its responsibilities are governed by the Act and the Property Index Tracker Deed and encompass, inter alia, the protection of investors’ interests, acting as trustee of the assets of each of the Property Index Tracker portfolios and ensuring compliance by the manager with the Property Index Tracker Deed.
The Market Maker
Independent Securities is appointed as market maker to the fund in order to encourage and facilitate liquidity in the secondary market. It will be possible for the public to deal directly with the market maker.
